Cèilidh aig an Àirigh: Gearraidh an Uisge, 28 June

Ceilidh at the shieling.  CE Uig invites you to join us for a short walk out for a ceilidh and a picnic.  We are thinking about rebuilding a shieling and will be visiting several over the summer to talk about the possibilities.

Airidh Gearraidh an Uisge (NB106272) was built by the Baxter from 6 Kneep and his father Donald, just before the war.  It was used turn-about with the shieling at Gearraidh Todale (NB096291) by half the village one year and the other half the next. 

The walk in takes about an hour and involves crossing one burn.  Meet at 10am on Saturday 28 June at Ungeshader road end.  All welcome; bring a picnic.  The next outing will be 12 July from Mealista; details to follow.
