From the same stable as CEUig.com comes a new website for Comunn Eachdraidh na Pairc, across the island in South Lochs, to be launched tonight at their AGM. Pairc was, with the comainn eachdraidh in Uig, Bernera and Kinloch, a founder member of the Hebridean Connections project, and has a large collection of stories, photographs and genealogies on hand, largely thanks to Angus ‘Ease’ Macleod of Calbost and Marybank, and now the Angus Macleod Archive in Kershader. There are also many years’ worth of research and tales from their regular publication Tional.
Comunn Eachdraidh na Pairc is a very active society and the idea for CEPairc.com is much the same as ours here, so no doubt there will be lots of good reading material. Please go and have a look (but remember your heart’s in Uig.)
The boys are the Mackinnon brothers, 24 Marvig.
