Shetland Hamefarin 2010
In June 2010, Shetland will be hosting a Hamefarin, something they do every decade or so. A fortnight of special events will be designed to attract Shetlanders around the world home to visit, and will also raise the profile of Shetland and its products. There’s a website and a first newsletter.
With Year of Homecoming 2009 just about to start, and a Year of Island Culture proposed for 2011, should we be thinking about a Hebridean Homecoming event? Please comment!
